I bet that’s why my parents had it so loud, which woke me up, causing me to see part of it. I thought it might just have been a problem with the DVD but apparently Siskel & Ebert complained about it when it was originally released. Just a small note, the sound quality was bad. Watching Buster Keaton’s relative (granddaughter, grandniece, second or third cousin depending on who is talking) wield a motorboat with serious badassery, Conaning a rusty axe into that guy’s back, it was just such a relief to see them get theirs. He just started to watch horror films with me a few years ago. Zedd really does not like violence & gore. Last but definitely not least, a disembowling. Let me say though, she is pretty amazing in the film. Acting or not, it was awful to watch, so living through acting it out must have been a really terrible experience.

The quiet and relaxation does not last for long though, as she has garnered the attention of some local thugs. I know it goes downhill, but at first you really feel envious of Jennifer, spending her summer at a rural Connecticut vacation home in order to write her first novel. Not that they were particularly careful about what they let me watch.
